Uniform Circular Motion 

Ø  Is the circular motion in which speed of particle remains constant.

Ø  In U.C.M only direction changes but magnitude of velocity constant.  

Ø  Example :- Circular motion of any particle of a fan rotating uniformly 

Non - uniform Circular Motion 

Ø  U.C.M in which direction as well as magnitude of velocity changes.

Ø  Example :- When fan is switched ON or OFF , the speed of fan decreases or increases   

Centripetal Force

Ø             ØThe force providing centripetal or radial acceleration is called as centripetal or radial force.

Ce            -Centripetal force is a real force .       

                          -The direction of centripetal force is along the radius and directed towards centre.

Ø                     -Example :- stone tied to string and revolved in a horizontal circle
